About BAMS
BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is a professional degree in Ayurveda that focuses on the traditional Indian system of medicine. It provides in-depth knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, herbal medicine, human anatomy, physiology, pathology and modern diagnostic techniques.
The program spans 5.5 years, including 4.5 years of academic study and a mandatory one-year internship. During the internship, students gain practical clinical experience in Ayurvedic hospitals and healthcare centers, learning patient care, Panchakarma therapies, herbal treatments and holistic healing practices under expert supervision.
