AIIMS MBBS Fees – Among the Lowest in India
AIIMS MBBS fees are heavily subsidised by the Government of India, which makes AIIMS one of the most affordable MBBS options in the country. Tuition and academic charges are only a few thousand rupees, compared with several lakhs per year in private medical colleges.
AIIMS MBBS Fees – Approximate Fee Structure
| Fee Component | Approximate Amount |
|---|---|
| Tuition & academic fees (whole MBBS course) | Roughly ₹ 5,000 – ₹ 30,000, depending on the campus |
| Hostel room rent | Nominal, around ₹ 1,000 per year at AIIMS New Delhi |
| Mess and personal expenses | Extra, varies by campus |
*Published figures vary by campus and source, and fees can change. Please confirm the exact fee structure in the official AIIMS prospectus or on the official website before admission.
Important: do not confuse the government AIIMS with the American International Institute of Medical Sciences in Udaipur, a private college that also uses the short name AIIMS and charges lakhs of rupees per year. Government AIIMS seats are only through NEET-UG and MCC counselling.
