AIIMS Admission Process: MBBS :

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is one among the prestigious medical institutions which offers courses in MBBS and postgraduate programmes, across various fields in India. Competition is very high here and the process of admission is also critical. It is mandatory for students to follow the procedure and certain steps to get the admission at AIIMS. 

Step by step process for admission in AIIMS for MBBS:

NEET qualifiers, all those candidates who have qualifying percentage and have their names in the rank list are eligible to participate in the first round of online counselling.

One has to follow the process to get admission in AIIMS MBBS : 

Step 1: Counselling Registration

  • Visit the official portal of MCC and register for participating in the counselling process.

Step 2: Choose College Preferences

  • After registration, Candidates can choose their preferences of AIIMS colleges  

  • Here, candidates can choose their preferences.

  • Students can lock their preferences here. 

Step 3: Allotment Results

  • The result of seat allotment is based on the merit and the choices filled by the candidates.

Step 4: Reporting
  • Candidates who are allotted a seat need to report at the allotted college with the original documents to complete the admission formalities.

Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification:

  • 10+2 is the minimum qualification . One should pass class 12 with PCB subjects i.e Physics, Chemistry, Biology. There is relaxation for reserved categories, that would be a minimum percentage of 40-45%
  • 50% for General i.e unreserved category

 Age Limit:

  • 17 years is the minimum age for admission in this course. 
  • 25 years is the upper limit for admission in this course. Relaxation is there for candidates who belong to reserved categories. 

Entrance Exam:

  • Qualifying entrance exams is mandatory. Candidates should clear NEET i.e National Eligibility

Required Documents for AIIMS Admission :

  • 10th and 12th Mark Sheets
  • SSC ie. 10th Standard or equivalent examination certificate
  • HSC ie. 12th Standard or equivalent examination Statement of Marks
  • Admit Card of NEET UG Examination
  • Score Card of NEET UG Examination
  • School Leaving Certificate (LC and TC), Migration Certificate
  • Birth Certificate
  • Passport-size Photographs: A minimum of 4 recent photographs are required
  • Aadhar card
  • Domicile certificate

If applicable following certificates :

  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate
  • Caste Certificate ( Issue after 31 March 2025)
  • Eligibility Certificate for (EWS) economically weaker section
  • Gap affidavit certificate
